Blessed to Vote

In my social media class, we are learning how my measure, measure social media, measure effects of events, measure influence. All these things I have started to see on a daily schedule. Everywhere I look people are measuring things. The one thing that comes to my mind now is with the mid-term elections.
Candidates are putting ads and commercials out there that I bet they measure with how many people see it or how many people click to go to his website from a YouTube ad. We also measure the big ones like how many people come out to vote and what do people vote for? It is truly amazing how much we measure. It is a great way to see how much people are influenced or are intrigued by something on any media platform.
When everything is tallied up and the winners are picked we can measure how well they do in office. People can fill out surveys and answer interviews with how they think who they picked is doing. I love voting because it gives me pride in our nation that we even have the power to vote. We might not have a great government and have fallen into some rough times, but at least we can still do the things we do. Other countries can’t vote, don’t have a semi-strong government like we do, or can measure or tell their government how they are doing. Well that’s all I have to say about that, remember we have it pretty good here in the United States, it even has it in our name, to be “united” and that is a blessing.
