Good vs Bad Reputations

All companies have a reputation with consumers, some are good, and some are bad. Companies should measure this reputation, so they know who their loyal consumers are verse those that don’t like the company. Sometimes a company get a big rush of bad reputation due to a crisis that occurred involving the company. That is why most public relations representatives, marketing departments, and high up officials must learn how to deal with crisis management.
I thought I would just then talk about what companies I think have a great reputation and why others have a bad one. Lately, I have a good view on Steam (Humble Bundle), Bethesda, and a small-town winery called Sycamore Lake Wine Company. Steam to me is a great company that sells and stores games that computer gamers can buy and play. They have a lot of sales daily, so it is like giving back to the gamers for using their company and being loyal to them. I included Humble Bundle in parenthesis because they also sell games for Steam, but they donate a lot of money they make to charities like Wounded Warrior and the Red Cross. Bethesda has a good reputation with me because they make amazing games. Bethesda is a gaming publishing company known for their games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Almost every game that they have made has been breathtaking the year that they came out. They put a lot of hard work into these games and it pays off with millions of people playing their games almost every day, I know I still play Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls Skyrim to this day. The last great company I love is Sycamore Lake Winery. It is a small winery in Columbus Grove, OH, and they make their own wine which I find very good. They also help put on events like small bands and the big “Night to be Thankful for”! The Ambulatory Care nurses in Ottawa put on this event and bring in people that have made it through hard times who tell their stories of why they are thankful for beating cancer or for fundraisers they have done due to someone that died in the family. Just a side note the one that got the everyone the most was a man who was in the military got into a gun fight and lost a lot of his brothers in arms and was in critical condition himself but has come back and helps wounded vets just like himself overcome wounds and PTSD (it was an amazing story).
Companies also have bad reputation like BP with the oil spill in the golf in 2010. Facebook, I actually do not like at all, I just am not a big fan of using it myself as well as the recent privacy breaches that they have had makes me not trust the company. One other company I don’t like to go to is Apple. Back in the day I always wanted an iPod and an iPad, but lately I have not bought anything from Apple. I don’t like how everything new they make must get everything else new with it. You need a new charger or need to buy wireless headphones just because they want you to spend more money on their products. I know they are simple and more with the modern era, but I like my android with everything it does, and it still has the same apps as Apple.
Company have it hard with always trying to keep a good reputation as well as trying to persuade other people to join them. A company can’t make everyone buy their product, but the more they steal from other companies and keep the loyal ones that they have is better for their company. That is all I have to say about that, what company are you loyal too and what one do you not go too?
