Last First Week at ONU

My last first week of school has officially started and boy what can I say. I have so many emotions running through my mind right now. I am sad to leave this place and am reminiscing on all the good memories I have made over my four years here at ONU. I am happy though that I have had such an amazing time here and excited to see what my future holds. I have some interesting classes this semester to and have a lot going on which is unusual from my go to class, to go home and relax schedule.

I am taking a Photojournalism class which I am very interested in due to having to take pictures and edit them. I have always been interested in photography, so I cannot wait to see what I can do in this class. I also have a Convergent Media class and Media Analysis which I am also excited to learn more about how to use media and how they can co-exist around each other. My internship and capstone are self-explanatory with needing to complete them to graduate. Lastly, I have a Social Media class which is the reasoning for these blogs. To learn more about social media and how to write certain things the right way whether it is a blog or posting a picture on Instagram or Facebook.

Probably the biggest thing I am looking to this year is being a member of the PRSSA group here on campus. We are going to Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Thursday to meet with different companies and learn about what they do and how they do their public relation jobs. It also helps that we are going to a Tin Caps baseball game at the end which I am super excited about. We are also headed to the PRSSA National Conference in Austin, Texas in October which I am sure will be a fulfilling experience with some amazing people.

I can’t believe it is my senior year at ONU, but I am so thankful for everything it has given me. Truly the greatest university in Ohio and I wouldn’t want to be a, soon to be, alumni of any other university. Well that is all I have to say about that, I look forward to my last year here and hope to make some more lasting memories like the past three years have been.
